Tokers & Jokers | Cannabis Stocks Dip Thursday

US and Canadian cannabis stocks were a mixed bag on Thursday with only a handful of gains.

Green Growth Brands (OTCMKTS: GGBXF) (CSE: GGB) closed down 2.01% on the OTC at $4.36.

After a short seller report was issued accusing Aphria Inc (NYSE: APHA) of self-dealing, CEO Vic Neufeld resigned from his position with the company. The company is also entering into a class-action lawsuit in February. Aphria stock lost 2.56% sinking to $6.46.

Cronos Group’s (NASDAQ: CRON) most recent quarterly report announced a 52.04% gain. Cronos was up 1.79%% at the end of trading on Thursday at $13.66.

Organigram Holdings Inc. (OTCMKTS: OGRMF) (CVE: OGI) announced yesterday that it has entered into a partnership with Canada’s Smartest Kitchen, a leader in food product development. The two companies will develop cannabis edibles, specifically chocolate confectionery. Organigram lost 1.05% on the OTC and was trading at $4.71.

Curaleaf Holdings (OTCMKTS: CURLF) (CSE: CURA) recently announced the company has received a medical cannabis processing license in the state of Ohio. The company was trading down 0.40% at $5.85.

Canopy Growth Corp. (NYSE: CGC) recently announced it has been approved for a producer and processor license for the production and manufacturing of hemp in New York. Canopy closed Thursday up 1.59% and was trading at $42.77.

Tilray (NASDAQ: TLRY) shares were down 2.52% and trading at $83.45. Tilray announced a long-term revenue-sharing partnership with Authentic Brands Group this week, a deal worth $100M.

The Green Organic Dutchman Holdings Ltd. (OTCMKTS: TGODF) (TSE: TGOD) appointed Dr. Rav Kumar, PhD as the company’s Chief Science Officer. The company was trading down on the OTC by 2.61% at $2.20.

Innovative Industrial Properties Inc. (NYSE: IIPR) ended the day trading up 4.327% at $55.01.

Aurora Cannabis (NYSE: ACB) took a dive Thursday after announcing plans for a $250M debt offering. Aurora lost 9.36% and as trading at $8.81.

With a 28.57% gain in the last four weeks Neptune Wellness Solutions (NASDAQ: NEPT) lost 2.98% and was trading at to $3.58.

Acreage Holdings Inc. (OTCMKTS: ACRGF) (CNSX: ACRG.U)  announced Greenleaf Apothecaries, LLC opened its first “The Botanist” medical cannabis dispensary in Canton, OH. Acreage maintains a Management Service Agreement with Greenleaf. The company was down on the OTC by 3.62% and trading at $22.60 at the end of the day.

Thailand has given GW Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: GWPH) and its partner Otsuka Pharmaceuticals patent pending status for specific cannabis extracts produced by the company. GW Pharmaceutical was up 4.58% Thursday and trading at $134.50.

Hexo Corp. (OTCMKTS: HYYDF) (TSE: HEXO) announced it has been approved to list publicly on the New York Stock Exchange beginning January 23. Hexo ended the day up on the OTC by 3.60% and trading at $4.84.

MedMen Enterprises Inc (OTCMKTS: MMNFF) (CNSX: MMEN) announced its quarterly earnings will exceed $29.9M with a 40% quarterly gain. The company recently responded to allegations of breaching fiduciary duties and enriching themselves at the expense of shareholders. Shares of MedMen were up 1.13% on the OTC and trading at $3.10.

MJardin Group Inc. (OTCMKTS: MJARF) (CSE: MJAR) was up 0.72% at $3.16.

Flowr Corp. (OTCPK:FLWPF) was up 2.61% at the end of the day, settling at $3.15.

After the announcement that the first legal cannabis sales will commence as early as next week, According to Cresco Labs (OTCMKTS: CRLBF) (CSE: CL) legal cannabis sales has begun in Ohio via the company’s dispensary. Cresco was down 2.64% on the OTC and trading at $6.62.

Auxly Cannabis Group Inc. (OTCMKTS: CBWTF) was granted an “outperform” rating from AltaCorp. The company was down 2.34% to $0.69.

iAnthus Capital Holdings (OTCMKTS: ITHUF) recently announced it has acquired all issued and outstanding shares of MPX Bioceutical Corporation. iAnthus climbed 1.13% and was trading at $4.47.

Despite a 70% gain in 2019 Namaste Technologies Inc. (OTCMKTS: NXTTF) (TSXV: N) was trading down 2.86% on the OTC at $1.02.

MariMed Inc (OTCQB: MRMD) announced that it is forming MariMed Hemp Inc. as a subsidiary that will handle hemp-derived CBD product branding and production. MariMed closed the day up 5% at $3.99.

MediPharm Labs (TSXV: LABS) (OTCQB: MLCPF) recently announced a multi year cannabis extraction agreement with TerrAscend. MediPharm also began trading on the OTC Monday under ticker “MLCPF”. MediPharm was up 1.69% at $1.54 at the close of trading.

Sunniva Inc (CSE: SNN) (OTCQB: SNNVF) was trading up 0.95% at $3.20.

Golden Leaf Holdings Ltd (CSE: GLH) (OTCQB: GLDFF) terminated an acquisition agreement yesterday with Sweet 16, the other with  The company was down 9.87% and trading at $0.10.

CannTrust Holdings Inc. (OTCMKTS: CNTTF) (TSX: TRST) climbed 0.96% on the OTC, trading at $6.30.

Origin House (OTCMKTS: ORHOF) (CNSX :OH) announced a binding term sheet with Alternative Medical Enterprises to alter its agreement in order to raise its equity position in the company. Origin House was up 6.57% and trading at $6.00.

New Age Beverage Co. (NASDAQ: NBEV) announced the signing of an agreement to develop and distribute Bob Marley branded cannabis infused beverages. New Age saw no change Thursday trading at $6.64.

Horizons ETFs Management Canada Inc. (TSE: HMMJ) lost 0.83%% and was trading at $17.92.

The Horizons Marijuana Life Sciences Index ETF (OTC: HMLSF) gained 0.55% and trading at $13.62.

ETFMG Alternative Harvest ETF (NYSEARCA: MJ) was trading down 0.33% at $30.58.
